Battersea Power Station – Phase two

Project Overview:
This complex project opens the building and riverside to the public for the first time, retaining the power station's unique historical features but giving it a new 21st century purpose.

As the cornerstone of the entire regeneration project, the Power Station includes approximately 100 new retail, food and beverage units, as well as a 2,000 capacity events venue and unique chimney lift experience. The Power Station now also provides c.500,000 sq. ft of new office space, now home to Apple’s new London Campus, and 253 new residential homes, these new homes is where Ironmongery Innovations skillset came in to play

Highlights:

• Customised Elements: Full master key systems to each phase of the project, all managed in house by our scheduling team a project which spanned from construction stage right through to project completion and handing over those very special keys to new tenants

• Design Collaboration: Each residential phase has its own specific design elements, from sleek satin stainless steel to a flat matt black design.

Project Details:

• Residences: As the project was varied and complex, we were engaged in numerous aspects of the residential projects on the site, working with Horohoe, EE Smith, Atlantic contracts and Ruddy Joinery, supply solutions to each client to meet the needs and specification of each separate housing scheme, from exclusive Sky Villas and executive residencies in the Switch House, both east & west ranges

• Exclusive Amenities: The UK’s first Six Senses hotel and spa within The Whiteley, a brand renowned for wellness and sustainability, ensures a sophisticated, wellness-focused lifestyle for residents.

Outcome: Ironmongery Innovations’ contributions have been instrumental in crafting a seamless, high-quality experience within each residence, elevating the living spaces to meet the vision of this landmark development.

Project footnote: The site is home to two peregrine falcons - the fastest animal on Earth. Mace, the main contractor for the project, relocated the peregrines’ original nesting site in one of the Power Station’s old wash towers to a new purpose built tower nearby at a cost of over £100,000. Since the move they have successfully raised a number of chicks.
